Mesa, AZ (January 19, 2026) – A traffic collision early on Friday morning resulted in injuries to at least one person following a crash at the intersection of E University Dr and Ellsworth Rd, according to early dispatch reports.
The accident occurred at approximately 6:33 a.m. on January 16. Responding officers and fire crews arrived on scene to find two vehicles involved: a white truck and a red passenger vehicle. Witnesses reported smoke rising from the wreckage as emergency teams worked to assess the situation.
One woman sustained injuries in the collision and was transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment. Her current condition has not been released, but she was reported to be conscious at the scene.
Authorities temporarily shut down several lanes in the area to manage traffic and ensure the safety of responders as they secured the site and removed the damaged vehicles.
