How Do Motorcycle Crashes Lead to Severe Injuries?
Motorcycle crashes often result in more serious injuries compared to other types of vehicle accidents due to the lack of protection for riders. Without the structural safety features found in cars, motorcyclists are more vulnerable to direct impact and ejection during a crash.
Loss of control, especially on curves or uneven roadways, is a common factor in motorcycle accidents. When a bike begins to slide, riders can be thrown from the vehicle and may come into contact with other vehicles or objects on the road.
Additionally, secondary impacts, such as being struck by another vehicle after falling, can significantly increase the severity of injuries. Protective gear, reduced speeds on curves, and heightened awareness of surrounding traffic can help reduce the risk of these dangerous incidents.
