The California Highway Patrol log indicates the collision was reported at about 2:39 p.m. and involved a motorcycle and at least one other vehicle. Initial dispatch entries noted both a vehicle and motorcycle blocking the roadway. Emergency units were called to assist, and two tow trucks were requested to remove the damaged vehicles.

Later updates indicated that the eastbound lane from Frazier Lake Road to Ferguson would remain closed while crews worked in the roadway.
