Muddy Creek Twp, PA (January 13, 2026) – A two-vehicle crash in northern Butler County on Monday evening left at least two individuals injured, one of whom reportedly suffered a head injury, according to scanner traffic from responding agencies.
The crash occurred on January 12 around 5:08 p.m. at the intersection of E Portersville Rd and Perry Hwy, where one vehicle reportedly left the roadway and came to rest in a nearby yard. Fire crews from Stations 24 and 64 were initially dispatched, with additional support from Station 62 and Squad 98.
Responding medics evaluated multiple patients at the scene. One individual was transported to Wexford with injuries, while another was taken to a hospital in the Cranberry area. The presence of two ambulances and multiple rescue units indicates the seriousness of the crash.
Authorities closed off portions of the area while crews worked to assist the injured and remove the damaged vehicles. The exact cause of the collision remains under investigation.
The incident was officially cleared by 6:13 p.m., but questions remain about what factors may have contributed to the crash, such as driver error or road conditions at the time.
