Norwalk, CA (January 7, 2026) – A deadly collision involving a truck and an SUV occurred early Monday morning on the transition road connecting eastbound I-105 to southbound I-605 in Norwalk, claiming the life of one man.
The Los Angeles County Office of Medical Examiner identified the victim as 53-year-old Juan Frausto. The crash took place at approximately 12:44 a.m. on January 5. According to a witness, a yellow truck and a black SUV were involved in the impact. It is believed the truck veered off the roadway following the initial collision, leading to a severe crash.
Emergency responders arrived at the transition ramp, where Frausto was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. No information was provided regarding his city of residence, and it remains unclear if anyone else sustained injuries in the incident.
Authorities are actively investigating the circumstances of the crash, including whether speed, road conditions, or other factors contributed to the fatal event.
