Omaha, NE (January 9, 2026) – A severe multi-vehicle crash occurred on Tuesday morning near Mercy Rd in Omaha, resulting in at least one critically injured passenger. The incident involved a significant vehicle intrusion, requiring approximately 10 minutes for emergency crews to extricate the occupant.
The patient, a male estimated to be in his 60s, was found unresponsive with serious head injuries and transported as a code 99 trauma to Bergen Mercy Hospital. Emergency personnel reported that the vehicle had drifted off the road into several trees, creating extensive damage to the passenger side. A second individual from the same collision was also transported for treatment.
Fire and medical crews worked rapidly to manage the scene and provide critical care, including airway management, intravenous access, and administration of epinephrine. Authorities have not yet released additional details regarding the other vehicles involved or the cause of the crash.
