Oxnard, CA (February 1, 2026) – A deadly multi-vehicle crash occurred early Saturday morning on US-101 South at Oxnard Blvd, leaving one person dead and another with injuries, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). The collision took place at approximately 5:05 a.m. on February 1.
Emergency responders, including CHP and local medical crews, arrived quickly at the scene, where they discovered a serious crash involving three vehicles. First responders, including paramedics and fire personnel, worked urgently to assist the individuals involved. Two of the vehicles were located on the side of the highway, and one person was found unresponsive inside a vehicle.
Medics and fire crews provided care at the scene, but tragically, one person succumbed to their injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Another individual sustained minor injuries and received treatment. No other occupants have been reported injured at this time.
The crash prompted partial lane closures in the area as officials secured the site and began an investigation. Authorities have not yet determined what caused the collision, and no details have been released regarding whether speed, impairment, or other factors were involved.
