Austin, TX (June 17, 2026) – A person suffered critical injuries after being rescued from a burning home in South Austin on Tuesday morning, June 16. EMS and Fire responded to the house fire at 306 W. Johanna Street at approximately 7:08 a.m.
According to officials, firefighters entered the residence and located a person inside the home. The occupant was removed from the structure and immediately received life-saving care at the scene before being transported to a local hospital.
Medical personnel reported that the patient suffered critical, life-threatening injuries. Information regarding the person’s identity and the circumstances surrounding the fire has not been released. We wish the injured person a full recovery.
