Queens, NY (January 12, 2026) – A vehicle collision resulting in injuries occurred on Sunday on the eastbound side of the Long Island Expressway near College Point Blvd in the Kew Gardens Hills section of Queens.
Emergency responders were called to the scene following reports of a crash involving multiple vehicles in the active travel lanes. Upon arrival, medics assessed and treated at least one injured individual. That person was later transported for further medical evaluation. The severity of the injuries has not been made public.
The crash caused temporary congestion along the expressway as emergency crews worked to clear the scene and ensure the safety of other motorists. Multiple lanes were affected during the response and cleanup process.
An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the accident. Authorities have not released details regarding contributing factors, and no citations have been reported as of now.
