St. Louis, MO (July 26, 2026) – A two-vehicle crash with injuries was reported early Saturday morning, July 25, on eastbound Interstate 270 east of West Florissant in St. Louis County. The collision occurred around 12:17 a.m.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 2026 Hyundai Elantra struck the rear of a 2011 Nissan Maxima while both vehicles were traveling eastbound. The report states the Hyundai driver was distracted and failed to observe the Nissan ahead.
The Nissan passenger, a 20-year-old woman from Decatur, Illinois, suffered moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Christian Northeast Hospital for treatment. Both vehicles suffered extensive damage and were towed from the scene.
