Rockford, MN (May 4, 2026) – A woman died, and another was seriously injured after a pedestrian crash in Rockford on Sunday, May 3. The crash happened around 1:53 p.m. at the intersection of Ash Street and Elm Street.
Officials said a teen girl from Cologne was driving with her mother when she hit two women who were walking on the sidewalk when they were struck.
One woman was pinned under the vehicle. Emergency units freed her from beneath the car, but she died at the scene. The second woman suffered significant leg injuries and was taken to North Memorial Hospital.
The driver and her passenger were not injured. Busy approaches near Ash Street and Elm Street can slow quickly after crashes. Crews in Rockford may redirect traffic as needed while helping those involved.
