Why Serious Crashes Often Lead to Extended Road Closures
Fatal crashes typically require extensive on-scene investigations to document evidence and determine what happened.
Roadways may remain closed for hours to allow investigators to analyze vehicle positions, debris, and other critical details.
These closures help ensure a thorough investigation while also keeping emergency personnel and the public safe.
