San Bernardino, CA (January 4, 2026) – A traffic collision involving multiple vehicles left two individuals injured in San Bernardino. The crash occurred shortly after midnight near the intersection of West 5th Street and North 8th Street, prompting a large emergency response from fire, medical, and police units.
Initial dispatch reports indicated that one or more people might be trapped inside the vehicles; however, this was later ruled out by crews on the scene. One victim had reportedly been restrained by a seatbelt but was safely released. A second ambulance was requested as medics confirmed two individuals had sustained injuries.
San Bernardino County Fire dispatched multiple units, including Medic Engines 221 and 222, along with Truck 221 and Battalion 124. Police officers were also present to assist with traffic control and scene management as medics provided treatment.
