How Failure to Yield Can Lead to Serious Crashes
Failure to yield is a common cause of crashes at intersections and crossroad areas. When a driver enters a roadway without giving the right of way, it can place them directly in the path of another vehicle.
These types of crashes often occur quickly, leaving little time for the other driver to react or avoid impact. The result can be severe, especially when vehicles collide at speed.
Clear visibility, proper signage, and driver attention are key factors in preventing these incidents. Slowing down and checking for oncoming traffic before entering a roadway can reduce the risk of a collision.
