Rescue and Medical Care After Head-On Crashes
Head-on crashes can cause severe injuries because vehicles often absorb strong force from the front. When several vehicles are involved, the impact can push cars into ditches, shoulders, or other lanes.
Rollovers and heavy front-end damage can make rescue more difficult. Doors may jam, frames may bend, and occupants may need to be removed carefully to avoid further injury.
Medical teams often check for head trauma, chest injuries, broken bones, and internal injuries after head-on crashes. When someone is trapped, crews may stabilize the vehicle first, then use rescue tools to create space and safely remove the injured person.
