Marietta, GA (May 21, 2026) – A 19-year-old motorcyclist was critically hurt on Wednesday evening, May 20, after a collision with a sedan in Marietta.
The accident was reported just before 9:30 p.m. at Powder Springs Street and Sandtown Road. Police said a 59-year-old Marietta man was driving a 2015 Hyundai Elantra north on Powder Springs Street and was turning left into a private drive.
At the same time, a 2026 Harley-Davidson motorcycle was traveling south on Powder Springs Street. The motorcycle and car made contact in the middle of the intersection.
The rider, a 19-year-old Austell resident, was taken to a local hospital with potentially life-threatening trauma.
