Troy Grove, IL (July 14, 2026) – Three people were hurt in a multi-vehicle accident on Sunday evening near the intersection of East 8th Rd and US-52 in Troy Grove. The collision occurred shortly after 5:30 p.m.
According to available information, two medical helicopters were dispatched to the roadway. One patient was flown to St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford, while another was airlifted to OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. A third person was taken by ambulance to OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Peru.
Emergency units from several nearby communities assisted at the scene. The identities of those involved and the extent of their injuries had not been released at the time of publication. The cause of the accident remains under investigation as additional information becomes available.
