Tarpon Springs, FL (July 14, 2026) – Three people were injured after a two-vehicle crash on southbound US Highway 19 near East Tarpon Avenue in Tarpon Springs early on Tuesday morning, July 14.

The collision occurred at approximately 2:25 a.m. and involved a red 2022 Hyundai sedan and a silver 2010 Chevrolet SUV. Emergency units responded after the Hyundai caught fire following the crash. A female occupant was removed from the vehicle and taken to a trauma center as a trauma alert. A male occupant of the Hyundai was also transported as a trauma alert, while a third Hyundai occupant suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital.

The three occupants of the Chevrolet SUV declined hospital transport. Southbound US Highway 19 remained closed while crews worked at the scene.
