What Factors Are Often Looked At After a Head-On Crash?
Head-on crashes are among the most serious types of roadway accidents. These incidents often happen when a vehicle crosses the center line or travels the wrong way. Investigators typically review road layout, traffic patterns, and visibility conditions at the time of the crash.
Vehicle damage can also offer insight into how the impact occurred. The position of each vehicle after the crash may help show direction and speed before the collision. In some cases, weather or road surface conditions are also considered.
Driver-related factors may be reviewed as well. These can include distraction, fatigue, or impairment. Even when early details are limited, these elements can help build a clearer picture of how a head-on collision took place.
