Elkhart, IN (July 10, 2026) – Two people were injured on Wednesday afternoon in a three-vehicle collision on County Road 6 near Emerson Drive in Elkhart.
The police and emergency responders were dispatched to the crash near 175 County Road 6 at approximately 12:30 p.m. A preliminary investigation found that an SUV traveling westbound crossed the center line and collided head-on with an eastbound Ford Escape.
The impact caused the Ford Escape to spin into a third vehicle. Two occupants of the Ford Escape were taken to a local hospital for evaluation and treatment of injuries that were reported to be non-life-threatening.
Authorities did not report injuries involving the occupants of the SUV or the third vehicle. The roadway was affected while emergency crews assisted those involved and cleared the scene. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
