Union Township, OH (April 21, 2026) – A three-vehicle crash on Ohio 48 early Tuesday morning, April 21, left three people hospitalized and shut down part of a busy roadway in the northern Cincinnati suburbs for several hours. The collision happened near the entrance of TriHealth Arrow Springs Medical Center in Union Township, just outside Lebanon.

Emergency units responded to the scene at about 3:52 a.m. on Tuesday after reports of a serious crash along the northbound lanes of Ohio 48 at Kingsview Drive. Three vehicles were involved in the incident, causing significant disruption to early morning traffic in the area.

According to officials, three individuals were taken to separate hospitals for treatment following the crash. Their identities and conditions have not been released at this time.

Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash, and more details will be released as soon as they become available. Our thoughts are with the injured victims as they continue to recover.

What Happens After a Multi-Vehicle Crash on Busy Roadways?

When a multi-vehicle crash occurs on a major road, the first focus is usually on safety and clearing the area. Traffic is often redirected or stopped completely to allow emergency response teams to reach those involved and manage the scene safely.

Early information typically centers on the number of vehicles involved and whether injuries are reported. As time passes, more details are gathered about how the collision unfolded and what conditions may have contributed.

Medical evaluations also help clarify the extent of injuries sustained. Even when individuals are taken to different hospitals, updates may later provide a clearer picture of their condition.

Road conditions, visibility, and vehicle positions are often reviewed through reports and scene observations to better understand how the crash developed.
