Motorcycle Crashes Often Result in Severe Outcomes
Motorcycle crashes tend to result in more serious injuries compared to other types of roadway incidents. Riders have less protection, which can increase the risk of fatal injuries during a collision.
Even at moderate speeds, the impact between a motorcycle and a larger vehicle can be severe. Protective gear such as helmets and padded clothing can reduce injury risk, but exposure remains high.
Road conditions, visibility, and driver awareness all affect motorcycle safety. Intersections and turning points are common locations for these crashes, where drivers and riders may misjudge speed or distance. Staying alert and maintaining clear visibility can help reduce the chances of a collision.
