Bakersfield, CA (July 28, 2026) – Two people were hurt in a traffic crash involving three vehicles on westbound SR-58 near the Stockdale Highway interchange on July 26.
According to dispatch information, the initial report at about 5:32 p.m. indicated a two-vehicle collision. Shortly after, the report was updated to confirm that three vehicles were involved. One gray Chevrolet Equinox was left blocking the No. 1 lane and could not be moved from the roadway.
The injury status was later upgraded from no injuries to minor injuries. By 5:59 p.m., all vehicles had been moved out of traffic lanes, allowing normal traffic flow to resume.
The cause of the crash remains under review as investigators continue gathering information.
