Sylmar, CA (February 1, 2026) – Two people were hospitalized Saturday afternoon after a serious crash involving two pickup trucks on Little Tujunga Canyon Road. The collision occurred at approximately 4:19 p.m. on January 31, prompting a swift response from the California Highway Patrol and emergency medical services.
First responders, including paramedics and CHP officers, arrived at the scene to find a gray Ram pickup truck and a silver Toyota pickup truck involved in the crash. The force of the collision caused significant damage and blocked traffic in the area, requiring emergency crews to manage vehicle clearance and medical assistance simultaneously.
According to officials, a passenger from one of the trucks sustained major injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for urgent treatment. The driver of the same vehicle also reported pain and was taken in for medical evaluation. No fatalities have been reported, and authorities have not announced any arrests related to the crash.
The exact cause of the collision remains under active investigation. Little Tujunga Canyon Road, a winding mountain route known for its sharp curves and limited visibility, has seen multiple accidents in recent years, particularly during weekend travel periods.
