We extend our sincere condolences to the family of the deceased.
What Can Cause a Vehicle to Leave the Road and Strike a Fixed Object?
Single-vehicle crashes involving trees or medians often happen when a driver loses control of the vehicle. This can result from distraction, sudden steering, or medical issues while driving.
Road design may also influence these incidents, especially on streets with raised medians or limited space to correct them. Once a vehicle crosses into a median, the risk of striking a fixed object increases.
Even without high speeds, the force of impact with a tree can lead to serious outcomes. Investigations typically review driver condition, roadway layout, and vehicle movement to understand how the crash occurred.
