Black Canyon City, AZ (March 15, 2026) – Two people were ejected from a vehicle during a single-vehicle rollover crash on Interstate 17 north of Black Canyon City on Friday afternoon, March 13.
The crash occurred near milepost 144 and caused significant delays for northbound traffic leaving the Valley. Authorities reported that both occupants were thrown from the vehicle during the rollover, though their current conditions have not been confirmed.
Following the crash, mainline lanes were closed while emergency units responded. The Arizona Department of Transportation diverted northbound traffic to flex lanes to manage the congestion. Lanes reopened around 3:15 p.m., allowing traffic to resume normal flow.
