Carroll County, TN (March 29, 2026) – Two middle school students were killed following a three-vehicle crash involving a school bus, a dump truck, and a passenger car on Hwy 70. Emergency units responded to the scene around noon on March 28, after the collision was reported in Carroll County.
The school bus was carrying more than 20 Kenwood Middle School students and five adults during a field trip. It was traveling toward a GreenpowerUSA event in Jackson when it collided with a dump truck and a passenger vehicle. Two people were inside the dump truck, while one person was in the passenger car.
Authorities confirmed that two students on the bus died as a result of the crash. Several other passengers were injured, with multiple individuals airlifted to trauma centers in Nashville and Memphis for further treatment.
The names and ages of the students who died have not been released. No additional details about the condition of the other individuals involved have been confirmed at this time.
