Chesapeake, VA (January 19, 2026) – Early Monday morning, emergency crews responded to a vehicle accident with reported injuries at the intersection of Portsmouth Boulevard and Gum Road in Chesapeake.
The crash occurred just after 4:00 a.m., prompting the dispatch of Engine 11 and Medic 11 to the scene. Upon arrival, responders assessed individuals involved in the collision and administered medical care as needed. At least one person was reported injured, though the extent of their injuries has not yet been disclosed.
Traffic was lightly affected due to the early hour, but officials worked quickly to clear the roadway and ensure the safety of those on scene. The number of vehicles involved has not been confirmed, and authorities have not released the identities of those impacted.
