Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash, and more details will be released as soon as they become available.
Our condolences go out to the victim’s loved ones.
How Right-of-Way Violations Can Lead to Intersection Crashes
Intersection crashes often occur when a driver fails to yield to another vehicle with the right of way. These situations can occur at stop signs, traffic signals, or uncontrolled intersections, where drivers must judge timing and distance carefully.
When a driver misjudges a gap or overlooks oncoming traffic, the risk of a side-impact crash increases. These types of collisions can be especially dangerous because the sides of vehicles offer less protection than the front or rear.
Other factors, such as limited visibility, driver inattention, or unfamiliar roads, can also contribute to these accidents. Even at lower speeds, the angle of impact can lead to serious harm for those inside the vehicle.
