Greensboro, NC (June 7, 2026) – A woman lost her life, and another person was hurt on Friday after a multi-vehicle collision at an intersection in Greensboro involving several vehicles along Freeman Mill Road near Coliseum Boulevard.
Police said the driver of a Chevrolet Camaro was traveling north on Freeman Mill Road around 4:05 p.m. on June 6 when the vehicle struck the rear of a Subaru Forester stopped at a traffic signal. The force pushed the Subaru forward into two additional vehicles that were stopped ahead in the intersection.
The driver of the Subaru, identified as Brittany Dawn Jordan, 30, was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in her vehicle was taken to a hospital for treatment of serious injuries. Officials said the Camaro driver, Bryson Lomont Spruill, 25, has been charged in connection with the incident.
Further details about what led to the driver’s speed have not been confirmed. No additional information about the people involved has been released at this time.
The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to determine all factors that contributed to the crash. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the family and loved ones of the woman who died.
What Factors Are Typically Reviewed in Multi-Vehicle Intersection Crashes?
After a multi-vehicle intersection crash, investigators often review signal timing, driver behavior, and vehicle positioning leading up to the first point of contact. These details help establish how traffic was moving through the intersection at the time.
Speed, following distance, and reaction time are also examined. Even small delays in braking can affect how a chain reaction unfolds when several vehicles are stopped close together.
Officials may also analyze roadway design and visibility at the intersection. Lighting conditions and traffic control devices can help explain how drivers approached the area and what they may have seen before the crash.
