Frenchtown Township, MI (August 26, 2026) – A 48-year-old Flat Rock man died Monday morning, August 24, after his Ford Escape crossed the center line and struck another vehicle on N. Telegraph Rd. The wreck occurred northeast of Hurd Rd. sometime after 10 a.m.
The man was driving a gray 2010 Ford Escape southwest when he traveled left of center while going around a curve. His vehicle then struck a red 2026 Cadillac OPTIQ head-on.
The Flat Rock man died at the site of the collision. The 83-year-old Monroe man driving the Cadillac was taken to a hospital in serious condition.
The cause of the fatal wreck remains under investigation as officials continue reviewing the circumstances.
