Motorcycle Crashes Near Highway Ramps Can Be Especially Dangerous
Motorcycle crashes near highway ramps and busy intersections can become severe because vehicles are often changing speeds, merging, or turning in tight areas. Riders have less protection than occupants in passenger vehicles, which can increase the likelihood of fatal injuries during impact.
Roads connected to interstate ramps may also involve heavier traffic and reduced reaction time for drivers entering or leaving the highway. Even a brief miscalculation in spacing or speed can lead to a serious collision.
Investigators often examine lane positioning, vehicle movement, and roadway conditions after motorcycle crashes. Damage patterns, witness statements, and traffic flow near the ramp may help provide a clearer understanding of how the collision unfolded.
