Why Pedestrian Strikes on Roadways Are Particularly Dangerous
Pedestrian strikes involving vehicles often result in severe injuries or fatalities due to the force of impact. Even when vehicles are traveling at moderate speeds, the mass of the vehicle can cause critical trauma.
Incidents where a person is standing in traffic after a prior collision can be especially hazardous. Emergency responders prioritize securing the area, providing immediate medical attention, and ensuring that further collisions are prevented while investigators determine the sequence of events.
