Gray County, TX (April 6, 2026) – A head-on collision on Sunday afternoon in Gray County claimed the lives of two women on Interstate 40.
The crash occurred around 2:00 p.m. west of McLean. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe was traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes when it collided head-on with a 2016 Toyota Highlander.
The drivers of both vehicles, identified as 81-year-old Dorothy Guinn of Pampa and 60-year-old Ester Evenson of Amarillo, were pronounced dead at the scene.
