Houston, TX (May 10, 2026) – A deadly pedestrian crash was reported early on Sunday, May 10, along Highway 6 near the Park Hollow area in Houston. Emergency units responded to the intersection shortly before 2:45 a.m. after reports that a man had been struck while crossing the roadway.
Investigators said the victim, believed to be a man in his 30s or 40s, was hit by an SUV while attempting to cross the street outside a marked crosswalk. The driver reportedly left the scene following the collision. The man died from his injuries at the location.
A short time later, emergency units located a stalled vehicle along the Southwest Freeway near the Sam Houston Tollway. Officials said the vehicle had heavy front-end and windshield damage consistent with a pedestrian crash. A man believed to be in his 50s was taken into custody for questioning while investigators worked to determine whether the SUV was involved in the fatal incident.
