Camden, NJ (July 16, 2026) – A dirt bike rider lost their life after a collision involving an NJ Transit bus on Tuesday afternoon, July 14, near the Walter Rand Transportation Center in Camden.
The crash happened at about 1:20 p.m. on Tuesday, June 7, at the intersection of Broadway and Federal St. Emergency units arrived after the dirt bike and the transit bus came together near the busy transportation hub.
The rider was taken to a nearby hospital, where the person later died from the injuries received. No passengers aboard the NJ Transit bus were reported injured in the initial information released.
Early reports stated that NJ Transit police were the first to reach the roadway.
