Modesto, CA (January 2, 2026) – Emergency crews responded to a reported injury crash early New Year’s Day near Highway 99 and East Whitmore Ave in Modesto, according to Stanislaus County Fire Dispatch.
The incident was reported at approximately 5:42 a.m., with Station 15 identified as the first responding unit. Additional teams, including Engine 19, Quint 18, and Battalion 4, were also dispatched to the scene near Pine St, just off E Whitmore Ave.
While exact details on the number of vehicles involved or the extent of injuries have not yet been released, the response level indicated concern for at least one injured party. First responders worked quickly to assess those involved and render aid.
