New Zion, SC (March 23, 2026) – A deadly crash occurred on Sunday night, March 22, at the intersection of U.S. 301 and Salem Rd in Clarendon County.
The collision involved a 2010 Honda CRV traveling north on U.S. 301 and a 2016 Audi A3 heading west on Salem Rd. The Audi was turning onto U.S. 301 when the Honda struck the driver’s side of the vehicle. The Audi driver died at the scene. The Clarendon County Coroner’s Office has not yet released the victim’s identity. The Honda driver was injured and taken to a nearby hospital. No other injuries were reported.
Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash, and more details will be released as soon as they become available.
