Santa Rosa County, FL (August 28, 2026) – A Louisiana woman died after an SUV struck her while she was walking across US-98 in Santa Rosa County. The accident involved a 33-year-old pedestrian and a Navarre woman driving east in the inside lane.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol report, the Louisiana woman was walking south across the left-turn lane and into the eastbound inside lane. The SUV was traveling east in that lane when it struck the pedestrian.
The Navarre driver’s age was not provided in the report. No additional details about the fatal collision were immediately available.
