How Rear-End Collisions Often Occur on Busy Roadways
Rear-end crashes are common on roads with frequent turns, driveways, and business entrances. These accidents often happen when one vehicle slows or stops suddenly, especially when turning into a parking lot or side street. Drivers following behind may not have enough time to react if they are too close or not fully focused on the traffic ahead.
Visibility and timing also affect how these crashes unfold. Evening hours can reduce reaction time due to changing light conditions and increased traffic flow. Vehicles like motorcycles or three-wheel models may be harder to notice, which can raise the risk of impact.
Keeping a safe following distance and watching for turning vehicles can help reduce the chances of this type of accident.
