What Investigators Review in Residential Structure Fires
When a house fire results in serious injuries, investigators typically examine the origin and spread of the flames to determine how the fire started. This often includes checking electrical systems, appliances, and possible ignition sources inside the home.
Fire patterns, burn damage, and witness accounts help investigators reconstruct the early stages of the incident. Environmental factors such as weather conditions and building materials may also be reviewed. These investigations can take time as officials work to determine whether the fire was accidental or caused by another factor.
