St. Francois County, MO (August 8, 2026) – A 16-year-old driver was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Thursday evening, August 6, on US 67 at Shannon Road. The collision was reported at about 4:55 p.m.
According to the crash report, the teen was driving a 1987 Ford F150 and waited to turn from Shannon Road onto northbound US 67. The driver entered the highway and collided with a 2013 Audi Q7 traveling south. The Audi struck the F150 on the driver’s side, sending both vehicles off the east side of the roadway and down an embankment.
The teen was pronounced dead at the scene. The 45-year-old woman driving the Audi suffered serious injuries and was taken to an area hospital for treatment. The crash remains under investigation as officials work to establish the circumstances surrounding the collision. Our condolences go out to the teen’s family and loved ones.
