Town of Theresa, NY (May 9, 2026) – A crash involving a pickup truck and a tractor-trailer shut down part of State Route 411 in the Town of Theresa on Friday afternoon.
According to reports, the collision happened near the intersection of State Route 37 and State Route 411 shortly after 3 p.m. Emergency units responded to the area and found heavy damage involving both vehicles.
Officials at the scene said the pickup truck driver was airlifted from the crash site by helicopter. The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured.
Investigators said the tractor-trailer exited the highway eastbound while the pickup truck exited westbound following the collision. A diesel fuel spill was also reported at the scene, leading environmental crews to assist with cleanup efforts.
The incident remains under review by authorities.
