Tucson, AZ (January 25, 2026) – A Tucson Police Department officer and his K9 partner were injured early Thursday morning, January 22, following a collision involving a patrol vehicle and a box truck at the intersection of Ajo Way and Park Avenue.
The crash occurred around 3:00 a.m., according to reports from the Tucson Police Department. Preliminary findings indicate that the patrol vehicle and a box truck collided near the intersection, though the exact cause of the crash has not yet been determined.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene shortly after the incident to provide aid. The officer and the K9 were both transported to a local hospital for evaluation and treatment. Their current conditions have not been publicly released.
