Why Collisions Involving Scooters and Motorcycles Can Be So Dangerous
Collisions involving smaller personal vehicles like electric scooters and motorcycles can be especially dangerous due to the lack of protection for riders. Both types of transportation leave individuals exposed, meaning even a single impact can result in severe or fatal injuries.
When these incidents occur on roadways shared with larger vehicles or at intersections, the risk increases significantly. Limited visibility, speed differences, and reaction time all play a role in how these crashes unfold. These situations highlight the importance of roadway awareness for both riders and drivers, as well as the need for caution when entering traffic or crossing active lanes.
