What Details Are Commonly Reviewed After Collisions Involving Animal-Drawn Vehicles?
Crashes involving animal-drawn wagons can present unique conditions compared to typical roadway incidents. These situations often involve slower-moving vehicles sharing the road with faster traffic, increasing the risk of a sudden impact if drivers are not alert.
Visibility is often a factor, especially during evening hours when lighting may be reduced. Road design, including narrow lanes or limited shoulders, can also affect the safety of both types of vehicles in an area.
In addition, the behavior and condition of the animals may be reviewed. Even when animals appear unharmed, their reactions during a crash can influence how the situation unfolds. Vehicle damage and the position of both the wagon and the car can also help piece together how the collision occurred.
