How Multi-Vehicle Crashes at Intersections Can Happen
Crashes at intersections often occur when a vehicle crosses into oncoming lanes or fails to maintain proper lane control. Factors such as speed, reaction time, and road visibility can contribute to the severity of a collision.
When multiple vehicles are involved, the initial impact can push cars into one another, causing additional injuries and damage. Children and passengers in other vehicles are particularly vulnerable in these chain-reaction collisions.
Investigators often examine vehicle positions, skid marks, and roadway layout to determine how the crash unfolded. Understanding these factors can provide context for how even experienced drivers may be involved in serious accidents.
