What Details Matter After a Fatal Two-Car Crash?
Fatal two-car crashes require a careful review of vehicle movement before impact. The direction of travel, lane position, and point of contact can help explain how the collision happened. Damage to each vehicle may also show the force of impact.
Passenger injuries can vary widely in the same crash. One person may suffer fatal injuries, while others survive with minor or unknown injuries. Seat belt use, airbag deployment, vehicle size, and where each person was seated can affect the outcome.
Road conditions may also shape the crash scene. Rural highways can include higher speeds, long sight lines, and limited places to stop safely. These factors can make serious collisions more dangerous for drivers and passengers.
