Why Tractor-Trailer Crashes Can Be Particularly Severe
Crashes involving large trucks often result in significant damage and a high risk of fire due to the size, weight, and fuel they carry. Collisions can easily involve multiple vehicles, and secondary impacts can cause additional injuries.
Highway speed, limited maneuverability, and the presence of other vehicles increase the likelihood of chain-reaction crashes. Emergency response crews focus on extinguishing fires, rescuing victims, and securing the roadway, but truck crashes remain among the most hazardous incidents on major highways.
