Nashville, TN (April 13, 2026) – One person was killed, and several others were injured following a three-vehicle crash on Sunday evening in Nashville.

The collision occurred on Highway 70 South near Beverly Hills Dr, where emergency crews responded to a serious multi-vehicle incident.

According to investigators, a white Ford F-150 traveling west veered off the roadway before the driver overcorrected, crossing into oncoming traffic and colliding with an eastbound blue Ford F-150.

A Dodge Ram traveling behind the eastbound vehicle then struck the rear of the white Ford, resulting in a chain-reaction crash.

The driver of the blue Ford F-150, identified as 59-year-old David Elliott of Cunningham, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two passengers in his vehicle were transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the white Ford F-150, identified as a 48-year-old man from White Bluff, sustained critical injuries and was also taken to Vanderbilt for treatment. Authorities indicated charges are expected.

The driver of the Dodge Ram, a 20-year-old, was treated for minor injuries.

Emergency responders worked to assist victims and manage traffic in the area following the crash.

The incident remains under investigation, and additional details may be released as they become available.

We extend our condolences to the victim’s family and wish those injured a full recovery.

How Overcorrection Can Lead to Serious Multi-Vehicle Crashes

When drivers veer off the roadway, sudden overcorrection can cause them to lose control.

Crossing into oncoming traffic significantly increases the risk of severe collisions.

Chain-reaction crashes often follow, especially on busy roads where multiple vehicles are traveling closely together.
